What we’re about
This is a group for anyone wanting to learn more about Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness topics from knowledgeable people and practitioners. We want to bring together those who are seeking information with those who are able to make this information easily accessible and understandable.
Our monthly seated meetings have resumed at the East End Cooperative Ministry, and we continue to have virtual events as well, plus special weekend workshops and retreats.
There are so many of us doing this work individually, so we come together to really promote the health and wellness movement that our community has embraced! Whether you are seeking to understand more about Body-Mind-Spirit Wellness topics or you are someone who is well-versed in this field, we'd love to meet you!

Experiencing Tai Chi Fundamentals® (In Person ONLY)
Three Little Birds Cafe & Juice Bar, 3940 Middle Rd Suite A Allison Park, PA 15101, Allison Park, PA, USRSVP on Meetup, then Buy your Ticket by registering at OMA Pittsburgh here: https://omapittsburgh.org/event/experiencing-tai-chi-dec25/
Tai Chi is a gentle, flowing form of Qigong that unites body, mind, and spirit in harmony with the world around us. This non-impact movement practice builds strength, balance, and calm without stressing the joints. Rooted in the “Middle Way,” Cai chi helps us cultivate peaceful power—energizing or soothing the body through breath, awareness, and mindful motion.
The Tai Chi Fundamentals® Program offers a simple, accessible approach for all ages and abilities. This session will be tailored to the participants to provide a few basic moves progressing from simple moves for practicing almost anytime during the day, even if just for a few minutes.
Class is open to anyone including those with no prior experience. We will review movements from previous sessions and continue learning basic movements.
There will be an optional energy cultivation exercise at the end of the session. Participants can choose to release tension and cultivate energy standing, or while reclining on a yoga mat. Please bring a yoga mat and a towel/support for your head, along with any bolsters needed to be comfortable.
Taught by Marilyn Carpenter, who began the study of T’ai Chi Ch’un in 1996 with various instructors, including Stan Swartz (Pittsburgh), Michael Ward (WashingtonDC), Pat Culotti (Wisconsin) and more. Marilyn is also a teaching member of Alexander Technique International since 2006 and practices several other healing modalities.
This event is "Donate from the Heart." (A suggested donation is between $10-$20).
