What we’re about
My husband and I are both in our 40s and we have enjoyed going on paranormal investigations pretty regularly since 2019. We also really enjoy going on ghost tours in different locations and every time we visit a city, we check to see if there is a ghost tour.
Some of the best places we have investigated are the Conjuring House in RI, the Farnsworth House Inn in Gettysburg, the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in WV, the Ohio State Reformatory in Ohio, West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, WV, and the Inspiration House in Ohio.
The best experience we have had so far was when we both heard a voice say "Look Up" and we were looking up while in West Virginia Penitentiary, but we saw nobody else near us. We also got some great spooky photos while we were taking a tour in Gettysburg and when we investigated the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
We're hoping to meet likeminded friends and possibly even start a regular group of paranormal investigators in the Pittsburgh, PA area who want to make a hobby out of it like we do. You do not need to own any equipment to join. We have some equipment of our own that we can share and there may be some additional equipment available at paranormal investigation events that we attend.
Skeptic or not, novice or experienced investigator, you are welcome in this group! Please be friendly and respectful of everyone's opinions though. Please share any experiences that you have had before with the group!
Our goal is to host at least 1-2 meetups per month. Please only RSVP "Yes" to events that you are serious about attending. If you need to change your RSVP, we request that you do not update it within 24 hours of the event date. We will keep a lot of the events around the Pittsburgh, PA area, but sometimes they may occur outside of Pittsburgh and require travel. Some meetups may be a paranormal investigation, while others may be just getting together to talk about our experiences or going on a ghost tour. Overnight paranormal investigations tend to run late into the night.
Everyone who attends will be responsible for paying any required fees for paranormal investigations and ghost tours. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
