Are you Conscious or do you have Consciousness?
If I ask you “Are you conscious right now?” will this consciousness be different than it was before you were asked?
Are there different kinds of consciousness?
Is there a sleep consciousness, a dream consciousness, when 'mindlessly driving a car, or 'in the zone' consciousness?
Some people claim to have a gut feeling -is there a gut or heart consciousness apart from mind consciousness?
We recognize the great complexity of the body -is there a body consciousness apart from the brain?
Is your consciousness different from mine? Different from a dog's?
If I am conscious of a thing (subject-object) am I separate from or am I that thing in consciousness?
If there were no objects to exist in consciousness, would I (the subject) no longer exist?
Is there a self-consciousness different from an external-consciousness?
Is consciousness defined by that which knows versus that which is known?
Does consciousness have any qualities?
We talk about an ability to focus attention -does that refer to consciousness focusing, or am I focusing?
In the suggestion “A clean mind and a pure heart” is that referring to consciousness?
(Do transcendentalists transcend mind, body or consciousness?
If I am only consciousness, then what could consciousness transcend?)
