TRIC - Wednesday Advanced Beginners Street Skate and Free Skate Lessons

Advanced Beginners Skate (6:30 pm) for those who can brake and skate with confidence and are ready to improve their skills. Ability to skate small hills and some street traffic. Skate lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Skate route is generally from Shadyside to Oakland, passing by Pitt and CMU campuses and other surrounding areas.
Regular season weekly Wednesday Start and Stop Skate Lessons Clinic in Shadyside. This is for new and beginner level skaters and those wanting to improve their skating abilities.
"FREE" Lessons will be conducted from 6:00 to 6:30 pm. All skaters taking lessons are required to provide their own skates, helmet, wrist guards, knee and elbow pads.
This skate is patrolled and will have an assigned skate leader and blockers.
It is suggested that you wear light colored clothes, carry a flashlight, or wear blinkys, or reflective items. Part of the skate may be completed as darkness is approaching.
Helmets and wrist guards are required as a minimum on all skates.
In deference to Covid-19 requirements ALL skaters will use their own judgement relative to wearing a mask and social distancing. Since this a voluntary participation event, each skater will be solely responsible for complying with federal, state and local government requirements.

Note: All skates are weather permitting. If the streets are dry we should be skating!
