What’s the gist of this meetup?

I want to help you build Divi websites more efficiently and confidently, which is why I’d like to share my Divi workflow with you during this 2-part meetup. In part 1, we’ll talk about establishing your workflow. (Check out part 2 at https://www.meetup.com/Pittsburgh-WordPress-Developers-Designers/events/275102012/)

Great, but who are you?

Hi, I’m Mark Cunzolo. I co-own Peculiar Pxl, a branding and digital marketing agency in Pennsylvania, and I’ve been a Divi user for the past 5 years. For much of that time, I used Divi but knew I could be using it BETTER. After starting my own agency, getting neck-deep in client projects, and being forced to evolve, I now have a simple workflow I utilize to build with confidence and consistency.

What topics will I hear about?

  • Creating a sitemap that serves as an ongoing measuring stick
  • Building wireframes that focus on repeating structures
  • Installing and building locally using a blueprint site
  • Creating a style guide page
  • Building a library of reusable blocks
  • Constructing the header and footer
  • Assembling pages using the development snowball (my own nerdy term)
  • Finishing up with a launch checklist

Is this meetup right for me?

If you fit one of the following descriptions, I think you have something to gain by attending:

  • You build multiple Divi websites for yourself or for clients
  • You built your own website using Divi and now you’re thinking about redesigning it
  • You use another great page builder but you’re thinking of trying out Divi instead

Heck, even if you don’t have any plans to use Divi, a discussion about web design workflow and additional resources is always helpful.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Just know that Divi is a paid page builder. I have no affiliate relationship with them, and you don’t need to purchase Divi to attend the meetup. You can learn more about Divi at https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/divi/, but a quick search for "WordPress page builders" will give you other options to choose from.

I may also utilize other tools like Adobe CC, Local by Flywheel, Chrome, and Sublime Text. These are only examples of tools you could use. None of them are required to participate.

We will be recording this meetup and will post it, along with the slides, on our website at https://wppittsburgh.com. Subscribe to our YouTube channel there to get notified when the recording drops!
