Indoor fashion photography is a huge subject and it provides you with sufficient introduction to light, its various qualities, as well as how we can bend and adjust those qualities to suit our own taste and needs for great professional results.

Workshop will focus on:

Theory sessions.

Introductions and expectations setting
Understanding how light works – Both studio as well as natural light.
Technical aspects – camera settings, exposure etc.
Importance of Studio lights
Different types of lights used in studio
Essential Equipment for using lights – like soft box etc.
Controlling and managing lights for various situation.
Understanding different angles suitable for making portrait images.

Practice sessions.

Practical session with model
Understanding the essence of portraits
Important composition ideas
Techniques of photographing with any available light.
Plenty of practice session with a model – Each participant gets to click model in various light situations
Image Critique by the mentor

Equipment & Gears:

DSLR or even any point and shoot camera will be fine
35/50/85 mm prime lens (recommended)
18-55, 55-200 mm lens or similar
Tripod (recommended)
Reflector 5in1 (optional)
