Create an Immersive MTV-Inspired VR Experience

Ever wonder what it would be like to step inside a music video?

Join us as we create an immersive virtual reality experience inspired by the wild, experimental world of classic MTV music videos. The finished experience will be featured at the Connecticut Science Center Gala in October—and you can help bring it to life.

Each meetup will be a hands-on creative session where we'll experiment with different ways of building the world and telling the story. Depending on what interests you, you might:

• 3D model objects, characters, and environments
• Create stop-motion and claymation animation
• Experiment with rotoscoping and stylized animation
• Design and create your own “Thriller”-inspired zombie
• Help develop the story, scenes, and overall experience
• Learn how all of these pieces can be combined into an immersive VR walkthrough

You do not need VR, animation, or 3D modeling experience. Come with an idea, learn something new, experiment with the technology, or contribute whatever creative skills you already have.
This isn't a traditional class where everyone makes the same thing. We're building one experience together. You can jump into the part that interests you and see how your contribution becomes part of something much bigger.
