Well okay, as is painfully obvious, this Meetup has been in serious mothballs for some time now. It's been a year and a half since we did our last one. And I see that the last 4 have been at the same place, the newish Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom. So that shows a lack of imagination on my part as if I'm not even bothering to be creative about it at this point for the last few years.
Different reasons for this......I'm often out of town for work. Sometimes I would make a Meetup tie in at the same time with movies that we do with my Dallas Indie Film Meetup. I think that might've confused people. But mainly, this pizza Meetup never really caught on like say Dining in Dallas. And the original organizer Charlie and I never fully understood this. You would think something as universal as a pizza Meetup would be pretty popular. You can see by reading past Meetups how weary I am at the fact that we were making them to no avail. There just seems to mostly be nil interest. So I've given up even bothering with it many times. This last time for a year and a half. Time flies.
So there seem to be many new people since then who have signed up no doubt wondering if this pizza Meetup is still active. ATTENTION NEW MEMBERS!! If you all have any suggestions of any good places for pizza or any ideas at all, let's hear them. Either in the comments below or message me.
Nestor has suggested Serious Pizza in Deep Ellum and he will be sub-hosting since I'm in Tampa Florida for the moment. This place has a pizza size of "30 inches. Not as big at "42 inches at Big Lou's Pizza in San Antonio, but still......
