Norfolk Coast Weekend, Seal Boat trip, Holkham Hall & coastal hike

Details
Escape for a weekend to North Norfolk, a unique coastline of unspoilt, award-winning beaches. The award winning beach at Holkham is one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the country.
Our weekend consists of hiking along Holkam National Nature Reserve, a walk around the Holkham Hall estate and a visit to the seal colony.
Our base is Wells-next-the-Sea, its harbour is sheltered by salt marshes from the open sea and was once one of the great ports of eastern England in Tudor times. Today the harbour is still used by sailing and crabbing boats.
Blakeney Point is a short distance along the coast and offers a long shingle spit providing shelter to a large tidal area and salt marsh and is hugely important for breeding and over-wintering birds.
Blakeney Point also provides a popular breeding ground for Grey and Common seals. The seal colony has between 500 to 800 seals that stay all year round. The grey seals have their pups during November and December. The seals move up with the incoming tide on to the end of Blakeney Point where we are able to see them at very close quarters from the boat.
