What we’re about
Have you attended a meeting that was poorly run? Are you a member or an officer of an organization that had problems with how things should be done, or you fear that things are being done in properly?
The solution to many of these problems is the use of "parliamentary procedure", which was developed by our ancestors over hundreds of years to set down how decisions should be made fairly in groups.
We are a group of parliamentarians in Broward & Palm Beach counties, FL who study parliamentary procedure and put on workshops in parliamentary procedure for local clubs and organizations and the general public. We were formerly known as the Plantation Unit of Parliamentarians but changed our name in 2017 to broaden our appeal to new members.
Our members learn parliamentarian procedure to help the organizations which we are members or officers. Each meeting has an hour-long education program.
All are welcome to come to our meetings.
We are a local unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians (www.parliamentarians.org), and part of the Florida State Association of Parliamentarians (www.flparliamentarian.com).
