Coffee and Conversation
Our Coffee & Conversation sessions are informal, inclusive, supportive gatherings. We just talk about things that are on our minds and in our hearts, things that make for, or detract from, a fulfilling human life in the real world for ourselves and for other people. We listen to each other, share our thoughts, and enjoy the time together. Coffee, tea and goodies provided.
Join the conversation!
To promote a respectful space where everyone's voice can be heard, we encourage participants to:
-Wait to speak until others are finished rather than interrupting
-Avoid giving advice unless requested
-Be mindful of how long you talk and try to keep it to 1-2 minutes at a time so everyone has a chance to talk

Intro to Sundo Breathwork, Meditation and Movement Practice
**Join us for Sundo: Breathwork, Meditation & Movement—a powerful practice to awaken your body, calm your mind, and nourish your spirit.**
Sundo is a traditional Korean Taoist yoga practice that combines breathwork, gentle movement, and meditation to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in centuries-old wisdom, it helps restore natural balance, release blocked energy, and cultivate inner peace.
Through gentle warm-ups, deep breathing, and energizing exercises, we’ll unlock the transformative power of the breath and movement to release anxiety, cultivate presence, and build inner strength.
This practice offers a path to stress relief, emotional balance, and meaningful life transformation. Together, we create a supportive space to heal, grow, and reconnect with our true selves.
**Come and awaken your full potential through the ancient practice of Sundo.**

Grace Shelter Support: Sack Lunches!
NOTICE this is in person!
We are providing 48 sack lunches every month, which we bag on the first Sunday. Please join us.
We will again make PB&J sandwiches and assemble sack lunches, including snack foods (individually wrapped), drinks, and fruit that the staff can hand out through the rest of the month.
We've been at this since June 2022, and it has been a lot of fun! We write personal notes to include with the lunches. We make 48 PB&J sandwiches. We fill lunch sacks with chips, snack mixes, food bars, apple sauce, raisins, bananas and oranges. When we are done, we gather with our own PB&J sandwiches and enjoy each other's company as we eat the same meal we just packed in lunches for Grace, an act of solidarity.
Phil reported that our lunches were a big hit with Grace clients.
The plan: Gather at 12:00 noon PST Sunday to make PB&J sandwiches and pack sack lunches with everything but the sandwiches and fresh fruit, which will be refrigerated overnight. Monday, the lunches will be delivered to Phil at the Grace parking lot.
Who can help, one way or another? If you can join the sandwich making at 12:00, RSVP and you will get the address through a meetup message. Want to contribute something to the lunches? RSVP and you will get details.
Please join us.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we continue to support Grace this way.
RSVP to get details for participating as well as the address.

How the Other Half Lived - The Small Group that Changed America
With only a few hundred members, the Ethical Culture Movement helped shape reforms across the country—from labor conditions and education to housing and public health. Their influence reached from Tuskegee to Harlem, from textile mills to the halls of government. As Margaret Mead famously observed, a small group of committed individuals can indeed change the world. The early Ethical Culturists embodied that truth. What distinguished them from many reformers of their time was that they worked systemically, understanding that no single domain of life could be isolated from the others. Not just parts of society would be the focus, but all of it.
Join us for our April Spotlight, where Curt Collier will share how - in our 150th anniversary year - Ethical Culture's rich legacy of social reform inspires us to action in our own difficult times.
Come on out! And stay for our potluck lunch starting at 12:30. (Bring a little something to share if you like.)
To learn about our group, check out the other events on our [Meetup page](https://www.meetup.com/Ethical-Culture-Society-of-Silicon-Valley/) or visit our [website](https://ethicalsiliconvalley.org/).

The Boy Scouts of America: Where are they Now?
Join us, either in person or online, as we welcome our presenter.
The Boy Scouts of America, now called Scouting America, started operation in the United States in 1910 and it has undergone significant changes since that time. This talk will be about the Boy Scouts, its mission, history, structure, and the current membership of the organization. We will discuss the inclusion of girls in the traditionally all-boys program and the recent government interaction in shaping the scout program. There has been a lot of news about scouting in the last few years, so after an introduction and some background information, the talk will follow whatever path the audience wants to follow. Come with questions and the speaker will do his best to provide the answers.
**A short Bio:**
Robert Wedig is a typical Silicon Valley engineer, now retired, who spends his time working with the Boy Scouts. He is an Eagle scout and the father of two former scouts. He has been involved in scouting for over 40 years and he is currently an assistant scoutmaster, unit commissioner, member of the advisory board for the Silicon Valley Monterey Council and the chairman of the National Religious Relationships Committee. Robert believes scouting is the best youth organization to help young people become the ethical leaders of tomorrow and he enjoys helping them achieve this goal.
