Details

Welcome to Plan V: The Rise of Reverence in Toronto! I haven't been to the Toronto fringe since 2015 (I came with my solo show Lust & Marriage). I am so excited to be back, and sharing this futuristic feminist comedy with YOU! I have made all tickets to the show PWYC because I really want people to see it, and I hate that cost is so often a barrier. Book your tickets asap!
Check it out here - SIZZLE REEL

VENUE: Alumnae Theatre Mainspace (70 Berkeley Street)

After the show - I will come out of the theater for a meet and greet hug fest. You can ask me questions, check out the buttons (we hand-made all our own buttons and they are GORGEOUS). We can talk about Reverence (the local Plan V Gathering happening on Sunday July 6th 13th). We can talk about starting a local Plan V cohort if you are an immediate convert! šŸ˜†

Here's an official description of the show (from the fringe program):
WHAT IF FEMALE PLEASURE SPARKED A REVOLUTION?
When fascism threatened humanity, Plan V emerged with a radical solution: Reverence. Set in 2035, this satirical comedy follows an underground gathering where attendees share stories of trauma and triumph, creating a spiritual movement that honors female pleasure as the antidote to shame. Eleanor O'Brien embodies a dozen distinct characters in this utopian fallopian fantasy, from the Southern spiritual leader to a Scottish cunnilingus enthusiast. When government censors interrupt the gathering, Mama V must rally her followers to keep their movement alive. Part sex-positive revival, part dystopian warning, "Plan V" transforms reverence into revolution, suggesting that in our divided world, pleasure activism might be humanity's unexpected salvation.

Here's my unofficial description šŸ˜‹
Plan V is my response the quote from Toni Cade Bambara ā€œThe role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistibleā€. Plan V is my vision of what is possible - A utopian fallopian future in which women feel safe, men feel included, and we all come together to Make Sex Great Again (or maybe for the first time). I play over a dozen characters at a hybrid Plan V meet-up (both in person and ā€œon zypeā€ - the future of zoom) each sharing a bit of their story.
My partner Nate is an artist, illustrator and animator and has created the multi-media look that sets Plan V a decade into the future. The show addresses the present moment while imagining a future when divisions are healed, pleasure is welcomed, and the underlying tenant of Plan V is honored: ā€œNone Greater Than, None Less, Together We Are Blessedā€ brings people together- women and men, queer and straight, cis and trans, Canadians and Americans! This show is pure propaganda for the world I wanna live in. Maybe you too?

I am inviting you to come see the show! It’s much more than ā€œa show about p*ssyā€ (though it is that too). It’s sex-education and feminist propaganda dressed up as a futuristic comedy and... it’s fucking funny.

Here's some reviews...
Honestly, if Richard Simmons and Dr. Ruth had a love child, this is the show she’d host. It’s theatrical, wacky, and oddly reverent. And it’s way more insightful, hilarious, and layered than The Vagina Monologues. That’s not shade—that’s evolution...There’s movement. There’s myth. There’s a sacred ā€œVā€ hand signal. And there’s something bold beating underneath it all: a call to connect, laugh, and maybe even liberate a part of yourself that’s been in hiding. In a world gone sideways, Plan V is a joyful, full-throttle course correction...

Plan V both a really handy sex-organ seminar, as well as an absolute hoot…the best lecture you've never had…**Entirely joyful and captivating.-**Fest Magazine, Edinburgh Fringe

Let’s get one thing straight—fascism doesn’t stand a chance when Reverence takes the stage…Eleanor O’Brien is an absolute force. She brings more than a dozen characters to life—so convincingly, I didn’t even clock that she was playing all the ā€œZypeā€ participants at first. - League Of Cincinnati Theaters

Clever and cunt-forward from the start, Plan V is a techno-feminist paean to what could be possible with the embrace of the ā€œfull sensory foldā€ of irl connection between humans cumming together in reverence of divine pussy. - Forget the Box - Montreal

Funny, empowering, and just slightly terrifying all at once. - Broadway World

Eleanor O’Brien has seriously raised the bar…this show was a delightful step into a fantasy of the future where pleasure is the highest level of enlightenment. If we’re all going to join a cult, it might as well be one like that! ...Wherever you are on the spectrum of comfort with yourself as a sexual being, you will find this a safe space. -Krista Garver, Broadway World

Plan V is loud, proud, and makes no apologies–an excellent opponent to a certain office-holder of the current era we might know.Fair warning: if you’re not a fan of the ā€œPā€ word, this show might not be for you.- League of Cincinnati Theatres
