Pet Care Seminar and Career Day at East Plano Vet

East Plano Murphy Pet Hospital is launching The VET ACADEMY this fall semester. Learn more about this path towards certification by attending this free seminar.

We also teamed up with Exploring to offer monthly career experiences to
high schoolers in North Texas. Youth ages 14 (and completed 8th grade) through 20 are invited to come.

Adults considering career changes also have opportunities to learn from our teaching hospital.

Experience an overview of veterinary medicine, services, activities and products offered by the pet hospital.
You will learn about departments of the hospital like surgery, dentistry, laboratory, and pharmacy. Get mentorship from professionals about careers in veterinary medicine like veterinarians, technicians, receptionists, kennel
personnel, and management staff.

EXPLORERS this month will:

• Participants will be introduced to pet care
• Network with professionals who work in veterinary careers
• Learn about education requirements for a career in pet care
• Develop work experiences to begin building their resume
• Learn important leadership skills

MONTHLY MEETINGS:
Private group - please RSVP. Minors not enrolled in the VET ACADEMY will need a guardian to be present at all times. Explorers under 16 years of age need a guardian present at all times.
