Join us this Valentine’s Weekend at Street 66 for a special Plant Swap lecture exploring how plants have shaped human desire, attraction, and mating rituals throughout history.

This research-based talk examines the role of aphrodisiac plants in ancient cultures, folk medicine, ritual, and trade, and how belief, chemistry, symbolism, and power intertwined to influence human behaviour and society. Rather than asking simply whether aphrodisiacs “worked,” we’ll explore why humans believed in them—and what that reveals about us.

The lecture will run for approximately 90 minutes and blends botany, history, and anthropology in an accessible, engaging format.

🌱 Plant swap included — bring plants, cuttings, or seeds to exchange
