What we’re about
Are you interested in becoming healthier and feeling better?
Plant-Based MN is a part of the international organization, PlantPure Communities. Local chapters are called “pods”.
Join us at our upcoming PlantPure Pod events to learn about evidence-based nutrition and meet others on the same journey.
The 3 Twin Cities PlantPure Pods would like to invite you to any (or all) of our upcoming events.
The 3 “Pods”:
Plant Based Living TC
Co-leaders: Steve, Mary, Kathy
PBCrescendo (Plant-Based Crescendo)
Co-leaders: DeAnne, Theresa, Haggith
East Side Evolution
Co-leaders: Celeste, Mary
PlantPure Communities advocates a whole food, plant-based diet, consisting of:
Vegetables, including leafy greens
Fruits
Whole grains
Legumes/beans
Nuts and seeds
And minimizing or eliminating processed food and animal food
As explained in the film, PlantPure Nation, “PlantPure” was selected as a term for describing a whole food, plant-based diet because it is suggestive of Nature. Nature is pure … perhaps the only experience we will have in this earthly life that is indeed perfect.

Plant Based MN is joining Compassionate Action for Animals to co-host a dinner out at one of the annual Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge entrants. We’ve chosen Namasté Café and their entry into the competition, the Masala Fire Taco with Watermelon/Cucumber/Mint Salad.
This taco contains masala-spiced tofu served on corn tortillas and topped with crunchy cabbage, pickled onions, avocado, cashew mayo, cilantro sauce, and green chilies, and a side of refreshing watermelon cucumber mint salad.
Please use this Ticketbud link to make your reservation. Space is limited, RSVP soon. Please note: the reservation space is being metered by ticketbud so be sure to use that link to RSVP, not the Meetup RSVP.Each August, restaurants around the Twin Cities add a new vegan dish to the menu. Diners visit restaurants and rate each dish they try. The winning chef will be crowned at a ceremony at 3:30pm on September 21, 2025, at Twin Cities Veg Fest in St. Paul’s Harriet Island Park. You can see the full list of competing restaurants here!
