Building platforms for sustainable IT

Details

Platforms are the perfect foundation to craft eco-friendlier environments, helping end users to understand and become carbon and energy-efficient.

Leaving every IT department by itself to find ways to be more sustainable is a strategy for failing. From our experience, platforms play an essential part in decarbonizing IT, leading and orchestrating various efforts, and providing a unified place to make single activities a helpful product.

During this talk, attendees will take away:

  • The importance of platform features for enhancing transparency in power consumption and carbon footprint.
  • Essential capabilities required for dynamically adjusting applications.
  • Proactive strategies for educating platform users on sustainable practices.

The session will be based on experiences drawn from changing and adopting environments for different customers, and the knowledge we gained during open source work.

After a 30-minute talk there’ll be a 15-minute Q&A, for which we encourage you to submit questions in advance.
A webinar recording and related materials will be shared with all attendees after the event.
