Night Of The Arts Play-A-Long Terrace Jam

Come and join in with the “International Music Jams Finland” at the Play-A-Long / Sing-A-Long Jam Session. The format is simple, we put the words and chords on the TV screen, and we start playing … and everyone joins in. We have spare ukuleles, so you can join in, even if you. have never played one before … it’s easy to pick up a few simple chords. You can bring your own instrument, whether it is a guitar, cajon, violin, saxophone … if you can carry it, bring it.

Somethings are guaranteed in our “random” set list:
1. We always play some songs by The Beatles & The Kinks
2. We always play at least one song from a Disney Movie
3. We always play some Oasis & Greenday
4. At some point we will play some Abba or Queen
5. When things get silly, we often end up playings some Alice Cooper, Nirvana, Madonna or Britney

Can’t play … come anyway

We don’t take things too seriously … we just play for fun, and encourage people to make mistakes and improvise over the top of us playing … even if you can just play basic chords, you’ll fit right in. We are “child friendly” as well, as long as under 18s are accompanied by a responsible adult. We will have some spare instruments, but these are limited, so if you have an instrument, it is best to bring your own.

If the weather is good, we will hold this outside on the terrace of Iguana on Mannerheimintie … if it starts to rain then we will retreat inside.
