What is Hurling and Camogie?
Hurling is one of Ireland's national sports, often described as the fastest field sport in the world. It combines the skills of hockey, soccer, and baseball, making it a unique and exhilarating experience. Players use a curved stick called a "hurl" to hit a small ball, or "sliotar," into the opposing team's goal, while defending their own. It's a sport that demands speed, agility, and precision, making it a fantastic way to stay active and have fun. Camogie is a slight variation of these rules, played by women.
No equipment? No problem! We’ll provide hurleys and helmets, so all you need to bring is comfortable sports clothing and your enthusiasm.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
