Funsters United

Today?s THE day. The countdown is over. No more sleeps. We?re bringing it on!

Here?s the word: We?re playing rain or shine. It just happens to be the kind of folks we are (and our parents can?t make us stay inside). If you?re sitting on the fence; just remember slippery grass evens the playing field ? speed increases slip-sliding potential ;)

We?re meeting close to the west entrance of the park. There?s a pay parking lot right where Lamey?s Mill Rd. and Charleson form a Y. If you?re driving ? that?s pretty much the only place to park. Walking into the park there?s a sports field on the right and a kid?s play area directly ahead. This is also where the closest bike racks are if you?re riding.

Keep walking towards the water. We?ll be playing on the strip of grass between the Island Park Walkway (follows the water) and the upper road; beautiful view of the city. I?ll be there by 5:30 to meet and greet (look for my big orange garbage bag) It?s not a busy patch of grass?pretty sure we?ll all find each other okay. If you get lost ? call or text me @ 778.558.5022.

Also ? the closest bathrooms are a ten minute walk from the park. There?s also a bushy area nearby (pls note the bylaw info below ;) The best bet is to come empty.

And ? it?s probably worth it to bring a large garbage bag to keep your stuff dry, to use it to sit on (no picnic tables) and maybe even use it for sack racing?

I think that about sums it up. So stoked to see y?all for our first event!

Smiles, A.
