It's the beginning of spring and what would be better than to welcome spring with a classic Briese swamp hike?
The path leads us through the sunken forest, along some beaver dams. It always feels a bit mystical to me.
This is why I want to celebrate nature with a bit of poetry: I invite you to bring your favourite poem/verse/other way of showing you appreciation for the wonders of nature. Along the way we can stop for a moment in a nice place and share those.
We also have the opportunity to have a nice coffee/cake break at Forsthaus Wensickendorf after about 2h of the hike. It should be open but there's no guarantee, so please make sure to bring food and enough to drink.
We are taking the S1 from Friedrichstr. at 09:30 to S Borgsdorf, arriving at Borgsdorf at 10:09. Aiming to be in the front carriage of the S-Bahn.
We return from Schönwalde (BAR), there's a train every 30 mins.
Aiming for the 17:14 train at the latest bringing us back to Friedrichstr. at 17:48.
Transport Tickets: DeutschlandTicket or ABC ticket.
Bring: Food, water and appropriate clothing! Shoes/boots and an appropriate jacket for the weather. It might be muddy, so plan your footwear accordingly.
