Designing a More Human Future

This is a casual meetup for designers and design thinkers who want to explore what a more human future could look like, and how design can help get us there.

Instead of optimizing for engagement, we’ll ask a different set of questions: What does it mean to design for joy, connection, movement, kindness, action, and purpose? How can spaces, systems, and experiences support human potential rather than drain it? How can we build better incentive structures so that we're not just designing addictive platforms and unintentionally creating dark patterns?

In this session we'll walk through a simple framework, principle, and system to help us think more clearly about designing behaviour for good. The focus is exploratory, practical, and conversational. This is a collaborative experiment, not a lecture.

We're collaborating with Base, a new community on Luma, which is looking to run a weekly meetup for designers to come together to learn, discuss, and apply ideas from across disciplines. Exploring ideas from behavioural psychology, habit science, UX, neuroscience, and more to learn how thoughtfully designed environments and systems can shape human behaviour in positive ways.

If you’re curious about using design to build a future that feels more alive, grounded, and human, then register through the luma link: https://luma.com/dzz88i5z
