At PlebLab, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of Bitcoin builders and startups as a hackerspace and community accelerator in Austin, Texas.
PlebLab's mission is to foster a community of developers, hackers, creatives, and builders of open-source software/hardware. We create a space where individuals can collaborate, elevate their skills, and transform seemingly impossible ideas into reality.
We host weekly workshops and hangouts out of PlebLab.

# Building on Rust Workshop Series: Vibe Coding Hackathon

Event Description: Cap off an intensive series of Rust workshops in April with a Vibe Coding Hackathon, an event where you can apply everything learned in the "Building on Rust" workshop series.
This hackathon hopes to challenge participants to innovate and create using Rust and AI, leveraging the techniques and knowledge gained from our expert-led sessions in April.
Judges: Anthony Ronning, Co-Founder of OpenSecret, Christopher David Founder of Open Agents, Topher Scott, Co-Founder of BitEscrow and FROSTR
Keystones:
- Team Collaboration: Work in teams or fly solo dolo to design and code projects that reflect the potential of Rust and AI integration.
- Prizes: 200,000 SATS in Bitcoin provided by Zaprite, 200,000 SATS in Bitcoin provided by OpenAgents, 200,000 SATS in Bitcoin provided by OpenSecret.
- Networking: Connect with fellow hackers, builders, creators, developers and industry leaders who share your passion for coding and innovation.
- Food & Drinks: Will have Tacos from OneTaco, RSVP so we know exact count for food.
Who Should Attend: This hackathon is ideal for participants of the "Building on Rust" workshop series who are eager to put their new skills to the test. It's also open to any developer with experience in Rust and an interest in AI who wants to compete, learn, and innovate in a dynamic environment.
