Plein Air Austin Paint Out Meetup

Come paint Festival Beach with us! Join us as we paint along the lake. This recreational area has walking trails, a pollinator field and water views (although some areas are less visible with summer foliage).

Note: Bathrooms are not always open & access to water may be limited. Please bring extra water and sun protection.

Parking lots and street parking are available, but please check signage as some areas may be paid spots.

Come paint with us as we join Plein Air Round Rock members to paint along South Brushy Creek! During this joint paint out, painters will be located along the path where the train bridge crosses South Brushy Creek (see dropped pin located on the bottom left corner in the featured photo).

Note: Park on the farthest South edge of the Brushy Creek Skate Park lot and follow the path towards the creek. The train bridge crosses the creek west of the path. Please bring sun protection and extra water as the train bridge is located away from the trail.

Come paint with us at Plaza Saltillo! As a popular train stop in the heart of East Austin, this urban space offers a variety of views. It is a Mexican-style plaza named for Austin's sister city, Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The site operated as Austin’s main train depot for 100 years before abandonment in the 1980s. Capital Metro purchased the old train depot in 1995 for integration into future light-rail plans. The completion of the light-rail station brought with it residential and commercial properties to the area. While the area has seen lots of recent growth, the plaza still has the charm and character of old East Austin.

Please note parking is limited to street parking and paid lots around the plaza.
