What to Expect at a Plein-Air Painters of NYC Event

• A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where you can unleash your creativity and connect with fellow artists.

• 3-4 hours creating art outside, so please review the 'What to Bring' section carefully

Note: Every artist is free to explore the area and choose their subject/view

3:00 - 03:30 PM- Regroup at Pier 15 (subject to change at the event)

What to Expect at the Regroup

• If you are new, introduce yourself and your art practice
• Share your work (optional), sources of inspiration, and thoughts on the overall experience.
• We snap pics for social media. If you’re not cool with that, just give us a heads-up!

After 3:30 PM we'll get some grub at a nearby place.
We encourage you to stay as this is the part that helps us get to know one another and foster meaningful connections!

What to Bring

1. Something to paint or draw with - your preferred painting mediums, oil paints, watercolors, acrylics, gouache, ink, pastel, markers, Apple Pencil, brushes, pens and or pencils

2. Something to paint on - linen, canvas, paper, sketchbook, iPad etc.

3. Easels/pochade box (optional), travel chair (optional)

4. Bring/wear weather appropriate gear/clothes, sun screen, hat, sun glasses, bug spray, bottled water, snack etc

5. There are public restrooms at Pier 15 Esplanade
