What to Expect:
We’re taking our sketchbooks and easels to The Met Cloisters this time for a peaceful day of painting and drawing. Perched on a hill in Fort Tryon Park overlooking the Hudson River, this museum and garden complex feels like stepping into medieval Europe without leaving the city. Cloistered courtyards, stone archways, lush herb gardens, and sweeping river views offer endless inspiration.
Artists can choose to paint outdoors in Fort Tryon Park — with its rolling lawns, tree-lined paths, and river vistas — or draw inside the museum, surrounded by medieval architecture, sculpture, and tranquil interior courtyards. Either way, there’s plenty to explore and capture at your own pace.

Note - The entrance to the park is free of cost, If you wish to visit the MET Cloisters you can purchase a pay-as-you-wish ticket.
