Thank you for taking a look at our group 🙂

The group hosts events mainly in Plymouth, South Devon, as well as in Cornwall Dorset, Somerset and further afield for special events during the year.🌳

A friendly inclusive group for anyone and everyone who would like to meet up for friendship, fun, laughter and companionship.😆

Whatever your circumstances whether you've recently moved to the area, or that your social life just needs a boost then please join us.🙂

Nikki started the group in April 2019 to make friends and get out and about a little more with her dog. Since then it's grown and together we aim to provide a wide range of events for everyone to enjoy.

We tend to keep the events to a limited number of people, with the exception of a few such as walks, to allow good conversation and so it's not quite so daunting. There might be the odd exception to this but generally we have found from member feedback people prefer smaller groups.🙂

WHAT WE DO
Some of the things we do are walks around our beautiful local area, National Trust houses and gardens, meals, coffee mornings, cinema, days out to places of interest, historic tours, live music. visiting fares and exhibitions, organised local trips. escape rooms, pool and games evenings, outdoor pursuits, spa days, weekends away as well as the odd holiday too!

Ideas are most welcome and appreciated. We always listen to our members and do our very best to include your suggestions. We like trying out new things and visiting new places.🌳⛵

Members expect to be treated with respect and kindness. Inconsiderate/unwanted behaviour, racism, sexism, ageism, extremist views, unkind behaviour or gossiping will not be tolerated.😊

Please keep RSVPs up to date, this is especially important with regards to table bookings and if there's a waiting list etc and is curteous, thank you.
If are unable to attend please amend your RSVP. 3 no shows will result removal from the group.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
By attending this event, participants acknowledge that attendance is voluntary and that they assume all risks associated with participation. The event organizer is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage, theft, or expenses incurred before, during, or after the event, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Participants are responsible for their own health, safety, belongings, and compliance with applicable laws and venue rules. The organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event if necessary

Health & Fitness Activities: "Participants should ensure they are physically able to take part and should seek medical advice where appropriate.

First time? Don't worry, we know what it's like coming along for the first time, feeling a little anxious but you will always receive a warm welcome. The host will always meet you beforehand so you don't need to walk in anywhere on your own. Please just ask by messaging the host/organiser 🙂👍

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
These are required to be paid at the same time as putting your name down (as long as you're on the 'going list, not needed if on the 'waiting list')
Needed to secure your place as venues often require a deposit and tickets for shows and activities are purchased on your behalf, therefore if you put your name down please pay into the account stated on the event page, thank you.
This helps the smooth running of the group and the sanity of the organisers!
Some meals need a pre order too. This will always be stated in the event description.👍

HOW TO JOIN
This is an adult only social group. You are eligible to join if you are 21 years old or over.
Members are respectively reminded that children are unable to accompany members to events unless by prior agreement.
Please have a photo of yourself on your profile to help organisers recognise you when attending events.📸

Nikki will send you a welcome message with details of the small annual membership fee which helps to cover the subscription fees to keep the group listed on Meetup.
