Join Moor to Explore for a wintery adventure on Dartmoor!
This hike is a fun, social way to enjoy the outdoors, meet like-minded people, and explore Dartmoor’s stunning tors.
To kick off the year, we’ve chosen a fairly short 5 km loop—perfect for easing back into hiking after the holidays.
Dogs are welcome, but please note there may be sections of the trail where they need to be kept on a lead due to livestock such as horses and sheep in the area.
Details:
- Distance: 5.1 km
- Duration: ~2 hours (with breaks)
- Difficulty: Medium (some muddy sections, manageable for most).
- When: Sunday, 26th January, 10:30 AM
- Where: Pork Hill Car Park, Dartmoor
What to Bring:
- Waterproof boots & wet weather gear
- Warm layers, gloves, and a hat
- Water & snacks
- A change of socks (optional but recommended)
- For Dog Owners: Lead, waste bags, and water for your furry friend
Additional Notes:
- Some areas may be muddy with stream crossings due to the season.
- Dogs must be kept under control at all times, and leads will be required when passing livestock.
- If conditions are unsafe, we’ll adjust plans or reschedule.
