Summary

We're seeking an energetic, ambitious, and motivated Project Manager who is a master of managing digital commerce projects, teams, and deliverables. The Project Manager will be managing key projects for large well-known clients, such as Walmart, Bloomingdale's, Macy's in addition to smaller niche retailers/companies.

Project Managers orchestrate and lead client projects using our proven agile delivery approach, the Optaros Assembly Methodology (OptAM). Project Managers shape client engagements by defining scope and effort then lead the project team to successful delivery against the plan. Project Managers manage the client relationship at the senior level and have a high-level of commitment to client success.

Skills

Project Management: strong PM skills that have been well groomed. Agile/SCRUM experience is ideal. PMP/PMI not required.

eCommerce: experience in the eCommerce space and familiarity with back office integrations

People Management: background managing projects with with internal and external teams (technical, creative/design, business analysis, QA)

Clients: experience managing projects for large clients (ideally retail / eCommerce clients)

PM Experience

6+ years experience on project teams or professional services environments in support or delivery-related roles; 3+ years in project leadership roles

Experience in custom application development and all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience in planning, organizing, and executing projects of varying complexity, delivering them within specified timeframes and budgets; previous experience managing projects of similar size in a systems integration environment

Ability to define and ensure objective measures of complex programs and experience in tracking and assessing projects based on project plans, budgets and resources

Experience in one of more of the following business solutions: media and publishing, consumer products, e-commerce, on-line customer support, knowledge management and collaboration

Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and establishing task prioritization

Experience guiding hiring, training and employee development practices within a team and project-based environment

Must be able and willing to travel to client sites as required

Consulting Experience

Motivated to drive excellence in service delivery, methodology, and operations (track record of managing successful projects)

Ability to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the lifecycle of the project; constantly and consistently communicate with the client and schedule, hold and lead client meetings as necessary

The ability to identify key influencers (on the client side) and develop a strong partnership throughout the lifecycle of the project

Bias and ability to partner with the client and team to problem solve

Expert level experience in analyzing business goals and metrics, understanding best practices while maintaining clients’ strategic direction

Able to meet or exceed established revenue goals (business development and utilization)

Excellent communicator (facilitation, presentation, verbal and written)

Flexibility is key. Must be open to adapting past experience to actual Optaros engagements

Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of continual change

Interest in collaborating across the company to share knowledge and learn from others; participating in internal training, workshops on related topics and an overall desire to contribute to the project management practice across the company

Interest in playing an active leadership role in continuously improving Optaros Delivery practices

Assume a hands-on role in developing talent across the company and in building Optaros’ brand externally
