This will be the third of several planned camping trips for the summer, and don't worry - there will be no hiking or squatting in the woods. All sites will be drive up, usually on the water, with restroom and shower facilities onsite because I like to camp with a bit of class and a little sass. These trips will be about sharing time with friends (new and old) in the great outdoors. Think campsite cocktail parties and cookouts, lounging by the lake or tubing down a river, more so than 10 mile hikes in the wilderness.

This is a time to get away, de-stress, reconnect, adventure and have fun. Spending the days exploring this beautiful state or chilling on the beach or by the lake, then relaxing around the campfire under the stars with friends – and maybe a few drinks – can lead to lots of laughter and memories made.

For each trip we will have multiple sites reserved - usually allowing up to 6 tents. Sharing is recommended to maximize attendance, but not required, and all sites are drive up so we don't need to worry about carrying heavy items too far. Every site has toilets and showers on hand, and each location is on the water, either beach or lake, so you can bring your tubes, paddle boards, kayaks etc.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved.

Where are we staying?

We're taking advantage of the warmer weather in Eastern Washington and kicking things off with a trip to Yakima River Canyons. Located 2.5 hours SE of Seattle the gentle Yakima River winds through rolling desert hills and basalt cliffs, some rising more than 2,000 feet, for 27 miles between Ellensburg and Yakima, Washington. This area is popular for wildlife viewing, fishing, and floating the river. The canyon's crevices and cliffs make a perfect home for the densest concentration of nesting hawks, eagles, and falcons in the state.

So what are you waiting for? Reserve your spot now!

Fees for this trip are $40 per tent. To minimize travel expenses we will also explore the option of carpools once we know who will be joining us.

RSVP Etiquette: Your RSVP is not confirmed until payment has been received and accepted by the organizer. Please take your RSVP seriously and remember - no one likes a flakey friend.

Cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the trip are non-refundable unless a replacement is identified (to ensure our host is not left out of pocket).
