What we’re about

This is a group devoted towards Open Source home automation. Specifically 'Home Assistant' (https://www.home-assistant.io/) and Linux. I thought it would be fun to have meetups and to share idea's, maybe short presentations. Possibly even have a weekend 'house hack-a-thon' where everyone goes and helps someone set up their house with Home Assistant.
Who should join? Anyone who's interested in home automation built around Open Source solutions. All skill levels are welcome, if you don't know something that's what the group is for, to learn and to share knowledge with others.

(disclaimer - I do this for fun and I'm not a professional. I can't fix your Ring, Google Home, etc)

Also, I've moved to Vancouver so the meet ups will most likely be in that area
