Red Thread Reiki 1 - Newberg

Then I discovered Reiki, & the question was answered! YES, there's something more, and it energizes the 'giver' as well as the receiver! Win-win! During that first class, I knew I wanted to open the Reiki Door for others, and became a Reiki Master in 1991. Since then I've initiated several hundred students, and a number of Reiki Masters.

In 2015, while studying Intentional Creativity (http://intentionalcreativityfoundation.org), preparing to become a Color of Woman teacher and IC coach, I needed to offer several Red Thread Circles and events. I also had a request from a couple of friends for Reiki I, & II classes. When I broached incorporating IC into those classes, my teacher Shiloh Sophia invited me to consider the connections between Reiki and the IC teachings, "I know there are connections, explore what they are."

A Chinese legend tells that we are connected before birth with those whom we're destined to meet by an invisible Red Thread. Through out lives, the thread may twist, stretch and tangle, but will never break. We each hold, and are responsible for our own piece of this thread.

Reiki comes to us from Japan, & has its roots in Qigong from China, & Tibetan teachings as well. Anyone can learn Reiki! It's a wonderful addition to any health care practice. This class is open to women and men.

In our Red Thread Reiki I class, you'll be initiated in Traditional hands on Usui Reiki, and participate in a Red Thread Ceremony & project.

This class includes:

• Red Thread ceremony, claiming your piece of thread

• Reiki I teachings and initiation, practice sessions

• Reiki for the self and for others, including pets

• Red Thread: Create a deck of Soulful Story Cards, exploring what old stories and negative self-talk tapes are running, and writing antidotes or affirmations.

• Create a card for each of the Reiki Principles You will receive a booklet and completion Homework.

We will meet from 11-5 Saturday, and 1-5 Sunday. Please arrive a little early to settle in, and bring a lunch on Saturday.

If you are involved in healthcare in any capacity, you will love adding Reiki to your personal tool set, both for your clients and yourself! We can recharge ourseves with Reiki, and feel more energy at the end of the day. If you are very sensitive to energy, and easily overwhelmed, you may find Reiki helps mitigate that, and you're better able to function in groups. And finally, if you're a musician, artist or in public service, you can use Reiki to energize your offerings.

Reiki Refresher - if you've already taken Reiki, you are welcome to join this workshop to reconnect with Reiki and share your experiences & skills. $50- audit fee. It was common for Dr Usui and Hayashi Sensei to attune Reiki practitioners each time they attended Reiki gatherings. Won't you join us?
