Pocket Disco rave @ Sepulveda Dam

Time for a change of vibe. Let's meet at the Sepulveda dam in Van Nuys. If you haven't heard about it, it's a huge concrete slab that's perfect for a rave-style dance party.

We will start at 7pm so we can enjoy more of the cool dusk air, as there is no shelter from the sun. Bring snacks and your dance mojo. As usual, we'll stay as long as we feel like it.

Pocket Disco is a nomadic, portable, and independent dance party invented by the dance and art collective: Distributed Dance Body.

It goes like this: a square of silver-tape in a public space; a boom box; a disco light; two people at a time dancing in the square, rotating in and out. No other rules. The playlist can be any music one may fancy. All dance skills and styles are welcome, from bears to ballerinas. Anything goes. Be shameless.
