What we’re about
Calling all Slam poets! We would like to invite all the lovers of spoken word, poetry slam and poetry in general, to our first event of poENtry Slam! We'll meet once a month at the beautiful place of Tinta Roja in neighborhood of Poble-Sec and let the words play with the emotions.
The inscriptions are open, so if you like to perform, just send us a message the soonest possible! We will accept a maximum of 10 slammers, so be quick! You don't have to be a published poet or even a poet! If you like writing and live performance, join us!
We are looking for people, from all around the world, who would like to perform poetry in English in Barcelona!
As everybody has the right to judge art, you are all invited to score the words, demand emotions and enjoy poENtry Slam.
Rules are simple:
1. Poets have 3 minutes to perform an original poem of their own construction (reading from paper is not allowed).
2. Judges are selected from the audience, so if you don't like to perform, come to judge!

We are back on Friday the 23rd of May at the lovely venue of L'Estranger in Barcelona.
We are very happy to have as special guest the amazing Australian/Cypriot spoken word artist Koraly Dimitriadis!
KORALY DIMITRIADIS is an award-winning, best-selling poet, writer and actor who creates poetic film/theatre. She is the author of poetry books Love & F--k Poems, long-listed for Poetry Book Awards UK (2024) also translated into Greek as Ποιήματα για αγάπη και για γαμήσι, She's Not Normal (2024), Just Give Me The Pills (2018) winner best book of narrative poetry American Book Fest (2024), and the short story collection The Mother Must Die (2024). Koraly's vast opinion articles/personal essays have been published globally, including The Age, Washington Post, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Today.
This is a spoken word and poetry performance tournament in English. We will have 7 slammers this time, and we are very excited to see what they have to say! If you want to participate in the Slam, please send us a private message! You cannot sign up by commenting in the event, as this cannot be controlled by our team.
From the audience, we are expecting them to scream, cry, laugh, enjoy!
