- Poetry for Your Soul Virtual Open Write: Let's Ignite Your WordsLink visible for attendees
Join us for a powerful session of creativity and connection! In this poetry writing circle, we’ll gather around the theme:
"Is it Divine Timing or are We the Key?: Fate vs Free Will"Note: This is Open Write, you will collaborate with another Poet/Poetess.
If you are new, please turn your camera on when you first join. Once your presence is confirmed, you may turn it off if you choose. We'll start with 5 minutes of open discussion to explore the emotions and meanings behind the theme.
Afterward, we’ll collaborate as a group. You’ll have about five minutes to write a line or two inspired by our conversation or by a stanza I’ll share related to the theme. Or if someone else would like to start the collab with a stanza, please let me know. No pressure, just authentic expression.
(I recommend to reflect on the theme beforehand and come with a few lines or a stanza already written.)
I’ll open the whiteboard, where you’ll be able to copy and paste your words. Either I or another participant will read the finished collaboration aloud. You can read the collab from the previous week here:
Soul Tribe CollabThen, we’ll split into pairs using breakout rooms, where you’ll have about 20 minutes to share, reflect, and deepen your ideas in collaboration with other Poets/Poetesses. It is up to you how you choose to collaborate. We’ll return to the main room to perform the collaborations if you choose to perform. Also, you have the option to perform your collab at the Open Mic. Just let me know.
If you’d like to perform your collaboration as a pair in the Spotlight, please make sure your camera is turned on when you perform.Come as you are, no perfect crowns or perfect poems needed. Just your voice, your spirit, and your creativity.
If you felt a meaningful connection with another member but time ran short, know that the collaboration doesn’t have to end there. You're welcome to reconnect after the event, to collaborate, create, and even bring your shared expression to life at the Open Mic. If you plan to collaborate, just let me know so we can make space for your voices to be heard.
Let's ignite our words!
