A great night full of expression featuring local Poets & Spoken Word artists through Words & Wine
Special Readings followed by Open Mic
This space is curated for artists to freely and unapologetically express themselves. We invite individuals from all walks of life to support and participate in our open mic. So step up to the mic and read your favorite poem, engage in conversation with other local artists all while enjoying our beautiful wines.
This Months Featured Readers
Michael Dylan Welch is a poet and editor who lives in Sammamish, Washington. He grew up in England (where he's from), and in Ghana, Australia, and Canada, and has published his poems in more than twenty languages. He was the poet laureate of Redmond, Washington, and currently serves as president of the Redmond Association of Spokenword and curator (since 2006) of monthly poetry readings at SoulFood Poetry Night. He directs the Seabeck Haiku Getaway each fall, and National Haiku Writing Month each February. His website is www.graceguts.com, and one of his haiku is chiseled in stone in New Zealand
Nick Satnik -is a math teacher and writer living in the Greater Seattle Area. He graduated from Western Washington University as 2023's "Outstanding Graduate in Creative Writing". You can find his work in a few vaguely reputable magazines, and on his blog: Overcoming Fear, where he writes about Horror, and the trials of developing a collection of Interactive Poetry.
There will be a Open Mic sign up sheet at the door. Each open Mic reader will have 3-5 min.
