Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of poetry, power, and presence at Mosaic of Voices on July 12 at 2:00 PM at the Lodi Public Library as three extraordinary mujeres take the mic:
* Aideed Medina, the fierce and fearless Fresno Poet Laureate, brings her voice from page to stage—her work etched into murals, operas, and hearts alike.
*Diosa Xochiquetzalcóatl, multilingual poeta and cross-cultural educator, will electrify the room with verses born at the borderlands of language, spirit, and resistance.
*Adela Najarro, poet of deep social consciousness and literary brilliance, brings stories rooted in diaspora, justice, and healing—her words uplift communities across California and beyond.
Come witness poetry that pulses with truth, culture, and liberation.

Poet Bios:
Aideed Medina is the Fresno Poet Laureate. Her work has appeared in various publications, including Issue #26 of The Common: Farmworkers Portfolio and Somos Xicanas Anthology, Riot of Roses Publishing House, and has been featured in Eclectic Collective theatrical productions, The Opera Remix, Fresno Grand Opera, and 559 Mural Project murals. She is the author of 31 Hummingbird, Editorial Xingao, Segmented Bodies, Prickly Pear Publishing, and a binational chapbook, selected poems from Segmented Bodies/ Salmos de la Sierra Madre, with Aziz Córdova, published by Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico.

Diosa Xochiquetzalcóatl is a multilingual and multidimensional spoken word poetiza and seasoned language arts educator with a B.A. in English and M.Ed. in Cross-Cultural Teaching who has been published online and in print on both sides of the US-Mexico border and Brazil. Diosa X is the author of six poetry collections, with her seventh book slated to be released in 2025. Learn more about her at www.diosax.net

Adela Najarro is a poet with a social consciousness who is working on a novel. Her extended family left Nicaragua and arrived in San Francisco during the 1940s; after the fall of the Somoza regime, the last of the family settled in the Los Angeles area. She serves on the board of directors for Círculo de poetas and Writers and works with the Latinx community nationwide, promoting the intersection of creative writing and social justice.
She has published five poetry collections. Her latest book, Variations in Blue, was selected by the Letras Latinas/ Red Hen Collaborative as the second volume in their curated series. The California Arts Council recognized her as an established artist for the Central California Region and appointed her as an Individual Artist Fellow.
