WHAT IS KIRTAN?
Kirtan is the spiritual practice of singing sacred music together. Traditions across the globe have used group singing as a way to awaken higher consciousness and Polestar draws from many of them including Sankskrit, English and Italian chants. Most chants have simple, repetitive words that are calming (and sometimes energizing!) to the nervous system and can lead one to the deeper and deeper meditative states. Importantly, no singing experience is required! Just an open heart and a willingness to participate. Polestar kirtans generally include a brief, guided meditation and close with healing prayers for world peace.

All are welcome!

This and all Polestar events are drug and alcohol free.
