Get together and discussion on the group’s topics/ direction

Hi all, I would like to organize a first get together for this group where we can get to know each other and discuss the topics we are interested in for this group going forward. It will be a relaxed get together over drinks where we can meet like minded people. It will also give me a chance to hear about the types of topics you are all interested in as well.

As mentioned in the group comments, I’m looking to expand the events beyond just covering the classics. I’m interested in covering things like philosophy, politics, art, science, current events, etc. I’m also thinking of inviting expert speakers on certain topics where we can find some. So it would be great if we could discuss this over some beer and snacks!
