Matters of the Heart by Jacinta Price

Details
Jacinta Price is not a victim. She was due to give birth the night she attended her high school formal. With her baby tucked in her arms, she completed year 12 from her hospital bed.
This book is a deeply personal reflection of how a young Indigenous woman became one of the most powerful political voices of our time. She is an agent of her own life. And perhaps a future Prime Minister of Australia.
[Note: we normally meet on a Thursday, but the Shakespeare Hotel has told us this isn't possible so we have to meet on Wednesday June 25].
This book is available for about $14 (Kindle) and $20 (paperback). Some are available through local inter-library loans. Email me at dalemills (at) cantab.net for a free pdf.
The format of the meeting is that we chat for an hour about the book and then close the meeting. Almost everyone stays behind to chat more about the book or anything else.
A $5 donation is requested to cover the outrageous sum demanded by Meetup for their service. Feel free not to pay if you are of limited means. I am not collecting tabs on who donates or not.
