Politics With a Liberal Twist for Cranky Seniors

We are a supportive, thoughtful, kind, mostly serious, open minded and occasionally cranky discussion group for folks over 50 from all over about politics, society, the state of our communities, country and world and our hopes, dreams, fears and plans for the future. We generally lean center to left, with the occasional contrarian idea. We’ve been through a lot together, with various levels of anxiety, trepidation and occasionally excitement and optimism. If anything, the second Trump term has been worse than most of us feared. We recognize that people will have a wide range of reactions from anger to withdrawal, wanting to analyze what happened, making plans to renew and repair politics and everything in between.

A couple of reminders. This is a discussion group and everyone is free to participate or just listen as they choose. Please limit side discussions in the Chat during group. And a few rules: 1. Please have a current photo. A first name and at least an initial; we’re getting lots of Michael’s and Julie’s! And you’re all unique!. Unless a special circumstance, please have your camera on, especially when speaking and mics off when not speaking 3. Very generally, two minute time limit and to extent possible stick to the topic so people can respond and the conversation can flow. 4. Please RSVP not attending if you can’t make. And most importantly, let’s be courteous kind and supportive.
