Polkadot Meetup Ljubljana
Details
It’s time for the next Polkadot Meetup Ljubljana.
“The blockchain of blockchains”, the Polkadot Network provides the core infrastructure for the future of blockchain building, laying the foundation for an open and decentralized Web3 future.
This time, after a more general introduction into the Polkadot ecosystem by Apillon’s CEO, we’re taking a turn into a more technical direction with a showcase of the demo of the Apillon platform by Apillon's CPO, a presentation of Hydra DX, a revolutionary decentralized exchange from the Polkadot ecosystem, and insights into one of the few community-driven programming languages, Rust, provided by an experienced software developer from the industry.
The first two meeutps were a full-house success and we couldn’t be more excited to catch you at the next Polkadot Meetup Ljubljana by Apillon.
Date and time: February 7, 2023, at 6:30 PM CET
Venue: Hotel One66, Ljubljana, Slovenia (parking is recommended in the nearby Aleja shopping centre)
Valery Gantchev, Head of Propaganda at Hydra DX, will explain how their cross-chain liquidity protocol is already revolutionizing decentralized exchanges. Supported by Polkadot, their freshly-launched HydraDX Omnipool - an innovative Automated Market Maker (AMM) - efficiently combines all assets in a single trading pool, putting Hydra DX at the forefront of innovation.
Stanko Krstič, an experienced software developer, will dive into the workings of Rust, one of the few community-build and community-driven programming languages. While still relatively unknown, it’s already demonstrated massive potential to become one of the most used programming languages in the blockchain sphere.
Matjaž Sobočan, Co-founder and CEO at Apillon, will introduce you to the future of the Polkadot ecosystem and its cooperation amongst key players, developers, and other Web3 partners, explaining how the Apillon platform will help build a decentralized future for the next generations.
Nino Kutnjak, CPO at Apillon, will offer an insight into the working demo of the Apillon Web3 development platform and share the first use cases. He’ll walk you through how the platform connects the Polkadot ecosystem and introduces developers to an easy-to-use toolkit for building Web3 products, bypassing the back-end hassle.
Save the date in your calendar, learn about Web3 first-hand from our presenters, and come hang out with Web3 builders at the next Polkadot Meetup Ljubljana!
*The event will be partially held in English.
By organizing regular Polkadot meetups, Apillon aims to build a close-knit local Web3 community to spearhead the adoption of a decentralized future. We are grateful to have full support from other key movers and shakers of the Polkadot ecosystem.

About Polkadot
Polkadot network provides the core infrastructure for the future of blockchain building. Its canary network, Kusama, a sandbox for early versions of Polkadot projects provides developers to test their work in a live, realistic environment.
About Apillon
Apillon is a Web3 development platform empowering developers to build in the Polkadot ecosystem. Through standard API connections, it provides the complete technology stack of connected services for creating NFT, GameFi, DeFi, and other Web3 products easily, reliably, and fast.
About Hydra DX
Hydra DX is a cross-chain liquidity protocol for the Polkadot ecosystem that’s set to revolutionize decentralized exchange. Based on Substrate and built as a parachain, it provides a liquidity pool for the Polkadot ecosystem with their freshly launched Omnipool, while enabling cross-chain interoperability with other networks, such as Ethereum.
