Welcome members! Bring your laptop or other writing materials, headphones if you need to block out noise, and money to order at least one thing to show gratitude to Pollys for letting us have a table. The focus of this group is silent writing for two hours. Many of us want to finish our books and find a coffee shop the most conducive way to be productive. The hour of chat at the end is also quite helpful as members share their experiences with publishing, query letters, marketing and what works and what doesn't. I have one request: join this group only if you are planning to RSVP on the Meetup site and actually attend the first session to try it out, scheduled for July 30, 2025, Wednesday, at 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. Join only if you have the courtesy to text me if you have RSVP'd but can't come due to a personal situation. The focus of the group is to collaborate with people who are serious about writing and finishing what they have started, and marketing their material.

We're a group dedicated to writing silently for two hours, then sharing notes, advice, critiques, and tips for the remainder of the time. I'm determined to finish my third book by December and have the marketing process underway. I have two more books I'd like to start after that. If you're as excited about silent writing in a coffee shop environment as I am, this is the group for you. Please do not join unless you plan to RSVP and attend the first session on July 30. Being in a writing group looks great on your profile, but this group is for people serious about actually showing up and writing and gaining all the advice and tips they can. We'll have laughs for sure, but the focus will be on churning out those pages to establish the required word count for whatever genre you are writing. Polly's is nice enough to give us a table, but bring headphones if you're distracted by other customers or Muzak. I look forward to collaborating with you and to seeing your RSVP on the meetup site.
