About us
🇵🇱🇮🇪 Polonica Éire is a nonprofit community organization that celebrates Polish culture in Ireland and builds friendship and understanding between all cultures.
We organize festivals, concerts, art exhibitions, film screenings, and cultural events that bring people together — Irish, Polish, and from all around the world. Each event is a chance to share traditions, learn from one another, and celebrate diversity in a fun, welcoming way.
We also run educational workshops and courses — from English language and integration support to community projects and cultural exchange — helping people connect, grow, and feel at home in Ireland.
For nature lovers, we organize walks and hikes across Ireland, which are dog-friendly but open to everyone. It’s a great way to enjoy fresh air, meet new people, and share a love of nature.
Whether you’re Polish, Irish, or from anywhere else — if you’re open-minded, curious, and friendly, you’ll fit right in. Join us for a festival, a workshop, a hike, or even just a cup of coffee and conversation.
Let’s discover, share, and build community together!

It surprises many people to see Vikings and Slavs grouped together in an Irish castle, but historically, their worlds were deeply intertwined. We want to highlight the parallels between the Scandinavian settlers (often called Vikings) and today's migration – people searching for a new life and a place to grow.
Far from the stereotype of bloodthirsty warriors, we will show how Scandinavians enriched Irish culture (and vice versa!), and how their presence influenced Ireland’s economic and social development.
A shared love of history unites Poles and the Irish. Together, with passion, knowledge, and openness, we will tell this story. We believe that by rediscovering the past, we come to better understand one another, building a community rooted in respect, identity, and mutual understanding.
That is why our event aims to bring closer two worlds that may seem far apart on the map, yet are deeply connected through culture and history.
Meet and welcome our groups and guests from Ireland and Poland as they join us in celebrating the Polish–Irish Festival in Swords Castle.***
