Details

Hey folks! It's almost time for the Polyamory Peer Power meeting with the San Mateo County Pride Center! This is a social and discussion group for polyamorous/open/RA/poly-friendly/poly-curious/etc folks (18+) in San Mateo County (and beyond).

Join us online May 7 from 7-8:30pm PDT, as we discuss how to stay engaged and supportive of each other and our community in our current climate.

What is the place of polyamory/consensual nonmonogamy in LGBTQ+ Pride? How can we be active in supporting each other without stepping on toes or burning out?

Brett Chamberlin, founder and executive director of OPEN (Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non-monogamy) will join and give us an update on the advocacy happening in our area to pass ordinances to protect the rights of non-monogamous people. We will also share activities happening soon to support Pride in San Mateo and Santa Cruz.

To learn more about advocacy during turbulent times, listen to the Multiamory Podcast # 524 - From Worried to Empowered: Taking Action for Relationship Rights with Experts Diana Adams and Brett Chamberlain

In order to support the Center, we are now asking for an optional & voluntary donation of $10-$15, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Thanks for helping us to keep the Center open and accessible to as many as possible!

While we are still online-only, you may make donations via the main Pride Center Website: https://sanmateopride.org/donations/
It would be great if you could add a note indicating that you are donating as part of attending the Polyamory Peer Power group. Thanks!

We look forward to seeing you on the first Wednesday at 7pm!
