Visit the perhaps most beautiful spot to experience Summer in Copenhagen, learn about Danish Summer habits, and meet other expats (and Danes) at this exclusive event.

The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University of Copenhagen was founded in the late 17. Century at Christianshavn. The first and most important in the start was to provide healthy horses to the many wars at that time.

Since then, the institution has moved to beautiful Frederiksberg and developed into a big and modern university department, and - not at least - surrounded by a beatiful park and two flower gardens,

Your one guide, Henrik, lives with his wife in an old house from 1870 on the premises, previously a guesthouse for foreign speakers and lectures to the University. After a welcome in his garden, he will do a guided walking tour in the beautiful surroundings and flower gardens.

The programme continues in Henrik’s own garden with a short presentation by your other guide Jens, of what the Danes do in the Summer, and perhaps a couple of sing - alongs and a drink (included).
After this – perhaps around 7 pm - you are invited to stay for dinner, or call it a day. If you stay for dinner, we will order take-away (own expense) and have drinks available (sodas, beer 10,- glass of wine 20,- dkr). You are also welcome to bring your own.

The price for this is 225 DKK. • Guided tour of the garden of Landbohøjskolens, by local enthusiast and authorized guide Henrik Gutte
• Presentation of Danish traditions and culture related to Summer by culture specialist etc., Jens Frahm-Rasmussen
• A cozy and fun afternoon at Henrik’s home next to the garden, with sing-alongs, and snacks and a drink included.
• Optional dinner (you can decide on the day). Drinks for sale at affordable prices (or bring your own if you like).
