Explore the new and old sides of Vesterbro on a Pop-up Tour

Details
Vesterbro is one of the most exciting districts of Copenhagen. It has always been a lively social scene, but has gone from being the home of factories and poor working families, to now being very popular with students, artists - and just about anybody else!
Join this Pop-up tour to:
- Learn how Vesterbro came to be, and how butchers, entertainment and "wild" working class mentality has been a part of the district since the beginning.
- See the other side of the meat packing district (Kodbyen). From the industrial past to the newest ultra-hip places next to Copenhagen’s hard drug scene.
- Hear how the “vesterbroers” lived before, and today, having to handle such things as city renovation, prostitution, the drug scene, and the invasion of hipsters!
- Be inspired on fun and unusual places to hang out in the district!
And finally:
- A chance to know the other participants and meet potential news friends. You are welcome to join the other participants at a very local Vesterbro place with the other participants (and guide) after the tour.
Your guide on the tour, Jens, is a long term resident to Vesterbro, besides being an authorized guide, and a specialist in explaining Danish culture to expats.
The Pop-up tours are aimed at expats, but tourists and Danes alike are also welcome.
We meet outside the "Jernbanecafeen" opposite the Central station. The tour itself will take around 1,5-2 hours after which you are welcome to join for a drink.
The cost of the tour is 125 DKK which can be paid on the spot in cash or on MobilePay.
