Ever wondered why Denmark works the way it does?
You may already live here — but understanding Denmark is something else entirely.

On this 2-hour pop-up walking tour, we go beyond the usual history and sights to explore the ideas, values, and systems that shape Danish society today. This is not a traditional sightseeing tour — it’s a conversation about how Denmark actually functions.
We’ll walk through central Copenhagen and use the city as our classroom. Along the way, we’ll talk about topics like:

  • Why Danes trust each other (and their government)
  • How the welfare state really works
  • Why people are willing to pay high taxes
  • The role of monarchy in a modern democracy
  • Danish culture, social norms, and everyday life
  • And yes — what’s going on with Greenland, and our relationship to the United States

This tour is designed for curious, thoughtful people who want to understand the country they are living in — not just observe it.

After the tour you are welcome to join for an informal dinner with the other participants and the guide.

The price of the tour is 125 DKK which can be paid on the tour in cash or MobilePay.

Your guide is Jens Frahm-Rasmussen who, before becoming a guide, worked 10 years in Human resources in the City hall of Copenhagen, the Ministry of Integration, and Copenhagen University.
