This week we'll revisit The Fabric of Reality to discuss Chapter 12 - Time Travel.

The chapter explores whether travelling into the past is physically possible and whether it necessarily leads to logical paradoxes. Deutsch argues that familiar contradictions, such as the grandfather paradox, disappear when we consider time travel in the context of Everettian quantum theory. Along the way, he connects these ideas with virtual reality, computation, and the nature of knowledge, bringing together the book’s Four Strands.

If this is your first time attending we meet in the cafe of the Barbican Cinema. Look for people with copies of The Fabric of Reality.

Please read the chapter before attending.
