Ladies Day at the Gun Range

Hey everyone, I'm planning a Ladies Range Day at Palmetto State Armory in Ridgeland for an hour or two. They don't take reservations, so it's best to get there when they open at 10 am so we can hopefully at least get a few lanes.

You can bring your own firearms, or rent one or more of theirs for about $10 each, and you can purchase ammo there. A .22 pistol might be a good way to start if you haven't shot in a while - I've rented a Taurus TX22 (easy to load without a speed loader, and easy to rack and shoot), in addition to the firearms I've brought. You can also rent ear protection (highly recommend the full earmuff style vs. earbud style) and eye protection (although I do have two extra pairs of eye protection I can bring if needed). Glasses also work for eye protection. They require closed-toed shoes, and shirts that are not low cut and that have some sort of sleeve, even if it's just short sleeves. You'll need your driver's license as well.

Note: This isn't a class, and it's not meant to provide specific instruction on firearms or shooting, but it is meant to be a supportive environment for anyone who wants to become more familiar and comfortable with their own firearms and / or shooting in general.

The people at Palmetto State Armory really helpful and seem happy to answer any questions, as well as help if your firearm is having any issues (due to problems with the firearm itself or due to user error - I've experienced both). 😆
