Linocut Printmaking Workshop

I’d like to invite you to my upcoming linocut workshop inspired by Portuguese motifs.

During this workshop we will draw inspiration from traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles and other recognizable local symbols, especially the famous Portuguese sardine. You will learn the basics of the linocut technique, create your own design, carve the printing plate, and make your first hand-printed artwork.

This workshop is a great opportunity not only to try the traditional printmaking technique, but also to create your own sardine design that could later be submitted to the annual sardine design competition organized by EGEAC – Lisboa Cultura 😉
If you prefer, you are also welcome to create a design on any theme you like.

Even if you have never tried linocut before, everything will work out. I will guide you through each step and support you throughout the process.
This workshop is a great way to spend a few hours in a relaxed creative atmosphere, try something new, take a break from everyday routines, and create a warm handmade gift for someone special.
